Kenny began his CGI career in 1977, doing all the ABC on-air motion-graphics with Harry Marks, when Bo Gehring built his motion-control rigs out of 2x4 wood beams bolted together with C-clamps. He was a senior director at Robert Abel & Assoc. and the co-creative director of the company along with Randy Roberts. He directed the multi award-winning TRW spots & Benson & Hedges spots which were breakthrough commercials at the time and won the Clio each year. Kenny was the VFX Supervisor for TRON at Abels and the inventor of the animation-imagery technique called '2-1/2 D'
